New Patients

Welcome to Monclova Road Pediatrics! Whether you are a brand-new parent, have school age children, or are entering the world of teen parenting, we understand your desire to help your child achieve excellent physical, mental, and social health. We provide personalized pediatric expertise in a respectful and collaborative environment. From well child visits to being there when your child is ill, we look forward providing you with the utmost quality of care you deserve.

Choosing your doctor

We offer complimentary appointments for prospective parents, and parents-to-be! A pre-parent consult with one of our pediatricians can be helpful for first-time parents. Please call our office to request an appointment to meet with one of our physicians.

Newborns

A physician from our office will visit you and your newborn in the hospital prior to discharge. The recommended pediatrician visit schedule for babies is a newborn check within one week of age, followed by visits at 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 2 years, 2½ years, 3 years, then yearly. Regular checkups allow our providers to track growth, development, behavioral concerns and any potential signs of early illness from birth through adolescence.

Insurance

We are contracted with most insurance companies. Your insurance contract is between you and your carrier. Therefore, it is your responsibility to check with your carrier and confirm that we are “in‐network” for your plan. The benefits packages vary from employer to employer. It is your responsibility to know what benefits and restrictions your plan has.

Preparing for Your Appointment

We are passionate about children’s health and well-being! To help us better serve you, please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment and bring your insurance card, valid I.D. and all available medical and immunization records. In order to spend more time with your pediatrician, please complete the New Patient Packet and bring it with you to your first visit.
